We’ve listened to your enquiries and are happy to annouce that we are installing a kitchen at GSS over January. We consulted with a food stylist to ensure a professional and well-equiped studio will be suited to food shoots in 2025.

Offering GSS clients individual hire (prices on the website) or a prop package which allows unlimited access to the entire collection for $300 + GST.

We’re looking for one new person to occupy one of our front offices. This would suit a photographer or videographer but we will consider other creatives. 24hr access, private office/storage, discounted studio hire. Happy new year! To accomodate changing circumstances, we have made a few simple changes to our offerings and hire rates. As of February 1st, the only hire option for weekends is Whole Studio (Full Day) for $650. To see all our new hire rates, click here.

We’re proud as punch to be sponsoring the Melbourne Polytechnic Diploma of Photography and Photoimaging graduate exhibition again this year. With restrictions permitting, it’s going to be held at the Inner Space Gallery in December (date TBC).

GSS is temporarily closed due to COVID-19 stage 4 restrictions 😷


This 180m² space is suitable for video shoots, film clips, larger scale photo shoots, projects involving set design or closed set shoots. Whole Studio hire includes the use of both the Small Studio and Big Studio and surrounding areas including the kitchen.

The whole studio is suitable for up to 15 person crews only.  
*Please note, GSS office tenants may pass through to shared kitchen/bathroom facilities and manager’s office

Whole Studio

  • 180 square metres of studio space
  • Control of the space, lighting and sound
  • Exclusive use* of Small & Big Studios, surrounding areas, change room, make-up area, kitchen and lounge
  • Roller door access
  • 4x C-stands with arms
  • 2x Jiffy J 2000 Commercial Steamers
  • 2x Studio camera stands
  • Kitchen: Dishwasher, oven, induction stovetop, rangehood, refridgeration, freezer, microwave

Half day $450 (8am–1pm or 1pm–6pm)
